<language> Element in RSS 2.0 Specification

<language> element in a RSS Feed specifies the language that this feed is written in. WordPress prints the value of `rss_language` option.

This can be consider as a bug in WordPress – there is no option in admin page to change the value, you have to change it by yourself from the database. This affects everyone who blog using WordPress and blog in non-English lanugage.

Another problem of mine: What should I do to express the fact that the feed of my blog is written in both Chinese and English? RSS Spec doesn’t allow <language>en,zh-tw</language> expression (invaild ISO country code) nor the <language>en</language><language>zh-tw</language> (cannot be used twice).

Maybe I just … can’t. In this moment, I think I should edit wp-include/wp-rss2.php to read value from polyglot.

Before WordPress fix the bug, everyone should change their `rss_language` value in `options` table to stop your feed sending bad metadata.

RSS Feed裡面的<language>元素定義這個feed撰寫的(人類的)語言。WordPress會拿選項資料表裡的 `rss_language` 來顯示。

然後，這算是WordPress的一個bug —— 網站管理員裡面並沒有任何設定可以改這個資料；安裝的時候也沒有。所有 blog feed 送出來的語言定義都是 en ，除非您自己去資料庫修改。這個bug影響所有用WordPress寫blog的人。

接著就是我的問題了：我要怎麼表達我的 feed 是用英文與中文兩種語言撰寫的？RSS標準格式不准許 <language>en,zh-tw</language> 寫法 (無效的 ISO 國家代號)，也不准用 <language>en</language><language>zh-tw</language> (此元素不可使用兩次)。

說不定我根本就無法這樣定義。總之我應該會去改 wp-include/wp-rss2.php 讓它去讀 polyglot 的設定值吧。

在WordPress提供可以修改 `rss_language` 的選項之前，大家先趕快去資料庫的 `options` 資料表改吧。不然會一直送錯誤的資料出去喔(飄)。

週記：開學準備週

下星期就開學了呢！依照原訂計劃提早回到學校準備。說是準備也不是準備什麼下星期要上的課程啦(汗)；我的想法是把一切與學業無關的事情通通在這星期收尾，然後開學之後就盡量不要理它。頗有進度的啦：再度重架了系學會網站；把電腦室所有的電腦安裝完畢；安頓好寢室的位子，有flip flap小盆栽喔(轉圈圈灑小花**)～

倒是選課這件事情讓我有點煩惱。到學校接上網路，一到選課系統就發現游泳課因為只有9個人選所以……停開了？現在我不知道要選什麼體育了；說不定只能去選高爾夫球？

好想游泳啊(哭)。

最後幾天在台北做的事情：因為星期二朋友有事情(咋咋)，所以就約了星期三再聚會。去離家很近的蔵月とんかつ日式豬排；感覺就跟那時候在名古屋吃的一樣；不過我似乎是誤解了豬肉了：有油有嚼勁的豬肉是大里肌，纖維細緻不油略乾的是小里肌。在日本吃到的是後者，我不喜歡後者。蔵月則是兩種都有。另外的小花絮就是「蔵月(くらづき)」國語到底要怎麼唸？「ㄘㄤˊ月」或是「ㄗㄤˋ」月好像都怪怪的。問店員很蠢所以也沒問就是了。

吃完去逛遠企樓下的city’super：它真的不是超級市場喔，我那天才知道(炸)；是很棒的精品店，差點被某系列商品吸走…… 住這麼近沒發現這種好店真是可惜啊。

當我星期二一個人在外面吃飯的時候，星期三才有空的那位同學約了「朋友」去看電影。哎呀，情人節出去看電影是曖昧的開始喔…

希望明年的情人節……啊，也沒什麼好希望的。會變成怎樣都是肇因於自己的行動或是不行動，所以要希望什麼只放在腦中的話也是沒用的。

Royale Shell Style

For yous don’t like Luna Shell Style – the only one included in Windows XP – there is finally a official alternative. Royale Shell Style is the shell style that included in Windows XP Media Center Edition. You can legally download it for the link (choose ‘royale.zip’); of course you need the legally own a Windows first.

There are a lot of unofficial themes out there. The most one turn Windows XP into a MacOS X Aqua! But sadly they requires cracking system dll (either do it yourself or by using Style XP.)

I prefer getting a real Mac than doing so (smile).

終於有個正式版的 Shell Style 可以取代 Windows XP 內附且唯一的 Luna Shell Style 了。Royale Shell Style是 Windows XP Media Center Edition 內附的 Shell Style，可以從上面的連結合法下載 (抓 ‘royale.zip’)；當然，「合法」的意思是您要先合法的擁有一份 Windows XP。

網路上有一脫拉庫的非正式 Shell Style。其中最有名的還可以把 Windows XP 換成 MacOS Aqua！只是它們都需要先破解一個系統檔案才能裝；不管是自己破還是用Style XP。

Well, 真要玩那個，我會去弄一台真正的麥金塔(笑)。
