WordPress Tip: Category RSS Feed

乖乖承認，我有在觀察 Feedburner 訂閱或是網站的流量。感覺的出來新文章貼出來如果是「週記」會比較沒有人點…(默)。無可厚非啦，不是每個人都對一個無聊傢伙的日常生活有興趣。

不想看就不要點，像這裡的回應這樣跟作者嗆聲就真的不太禮貌了。

既然這裡也差不多雜亂(只是沒談到政治而已)，讓我來說個小小的建議：真的覺得無關的文章很煩的話，請訂閱您有興趣的分類 RSS Feed。只要在分類的網址後面加上 rss/ 或是 feed/ 就可以了。像是(對不特定觀眾比較有用的)軟體分類的RSS就是 http://blog.timc.idv.tw/categories/programming/software/feed/。

這個做法適用於所有開 Rewrite 的 WordPress Blog 。不過它好像沒有提供過濾掉某個分類的 Feed。

不知道什麼是 RSS 訂閱的 IE/KKMAN/PCMan 使用者請自行洽詢 Ask 或是 Ladies_Digi 版XD。很好用喔，Firefox、Opera 都有，IE 的話要等到 IE7。

To who feel annoy seeing unrelated posts on general blogs such as this one, WordPress provided a great function for you to subscribe a category feed: just attach feed/ or rss/ after the category URL.

For example, if you only interested in my posts related to Software, you can subscribe this feed instead of the whole site: http://blog.timc.idv.tw/categories/programming/software/feed/.

智齒

前幾個星期去拔了上側的兩顆智齒。它們是健康而且(我覺得)有功能的牙齒，只是長歪向外側禿出。因為刷不乾淨而開始蛀牙，半年之內就蛀掉一半，剛好把凸出來的部份蛀掉。

開始痛之後才想要拔；好不容易擠進醫生早已排滿的暑假預約；去了醫院，醫生花了兩分鐘就把牙齒拔下來了(一邊唸我怎麼把牙齒搞成這樣)。

拔下來才看懂為什麼刷不乾淨；用手指摸的到的蛀牙只是個小洞，但洞很深會一路到象牙質，然後裡面被蛀空之後外面硬的琺瑯質就會碎掉；這時候大概也蛀到神經了。

結論是：牙齒只要有小洞就要趕快處理；拔智齒會變笨應該要反過來說，是只有笨蛋才會傻傻的讓自己的智齒被蛀掉。

大家要好好照顧自己的牙齒呀，血淋淋的例子在這裡。照了幾張特寫，不想看到 removed body parts 的人請不要點它。

Green & Red

綠紅，不是立宏(冷)。跟政治沒有關係。

全世界除了台灣和中國(大陸)兩個地方，其他地方的股票漲跌都是綠=上漲、紅=下跌，就連香港也是。不相信的人可以看看 CNN 或是逛逛世界各地的 Yahoo! 首頁。

一片慘綠這個成語在香港會變成一片慘紅(笑)。

Nothing to do with Taiwanese politics.

I was watching CNN one day, and I suddenly noticed the colours of the stock indexes are different: in Taiwan, when stocks rise the up arrows are coloured red; greens are the down ones.

Further investigation (on Yahoo Worldwide portals) shows that Taiwan and China are the only two places on Earth displaying stock indexes the “wrong” way. I don’t know if this was cause by Chinese traditions; red is the fortune colour used in every Chinese/Lunar New Years; green is the colour of one’s face if he/she feel ill or terrible.

On the contrary, Hong Kong does celebrate Chinese New Year – but their colours are as same as international. I guess the Chinese proverb “All terriblely green” don’t apply to them.

Chromatics means a lot in Taiwanese politics. For people who would like to know what red means politically besides Communists read this NYT article.
